Bali 6th April 14 to 12th April 14; Day 4: Jungle Trekking, Treetop Outdoors Adventures,Public Hot Spring in Lovina

Back to blog after so many months...

Work is draining me. Every bit of me. Signs of aging, I see it plastered on my face, my skin..Everywhere...:(

So Day 4!

Jungle trekking at the 山中湖!

Breakfast prepared by Si Jiu Ma :)

And then the trip! What nice scenery! Madan got one of the security guards on duty to bring us to the other end. I guess people there are very carefree? Though on duty, one can roam around freely. No productivity to speak of No deadlines to meet. Life should be enjoyed like that.

人生是自己的选择。我想要创造。

Trying to act stupid.

Disgusting right.. Omg.. Creepy crawlers and bats.. I didn't dare stand too near. They were like laughing at how scared we are, while a group of sec sch kids went near and examine the creatures.

The jungle trek wasn't too difficult. A little bit slippery here and there because of the soil. But very manageable and nothing much to see. We were going downhill all the way and we could see people hiking in the opposite direction.

Lots of temples everywhere in Bali.

And then we reached the lowest end! The trek included a ride across the lake to the other side of the mountain where our pick-up would be waiting for us.

There were 2 locals, the security guard included, who paddled and kept us moving towards our destination. We were merely playing with the paddle haha.

Woo hoo!

Bali Treetop Adventure Park

We drove the security guard to some post and then we are done with the trek!
Madan asked if we would like lunch first or what, we chose action. So off we go to Bali Treetop Adventure Park.

Price wise it costs like USD 20+ per person? Really quite reasonable.

There was like a mini tutorial session where they taught us how to use the carribeans. There was this bunch of angmoh kids who were totally very familiar with all the height elements and kept making noise of how they want to go straight to the actual thing.

We were made to try out the elements on a much lower altitude. Then this haolian kid was like come on when we took a little bit more time. Damn irritating sia.

So finally we graduated from that and moved on to the real thing.

It was further divided into like 6 colours - each represents a different level of altitude and difficulty. The highest level was black. And no one challenged that.

We had a good 2 to 3 hours in the park, while a famished Madan looked on :x sorry. Should really have gone for lunch first.

I like this. Tarzan. Hohoho.

I love flying fox! :D

This really pushed me to my limits. I love this. Whoa. Summoned lotsa arm and leg muscle strength for this. I want to complete this! I kept screaming while I pushed myself one step at a time. Midway though, I stopped and rested. Move on man! I got this. Move! Also felt bad for holding up the ang moh kids behind me. Told them sorry and I heard them telling Xinyi they are from Holland or was it Polland? Haha. They should have gone ahead first lah. Then while I was like 2 rings away from the end, I said, bring me down please I would like this to end. Then, this particular ang moh guy, not the hao lian one earlier, was so encouraging. He said come on you are halfway through. And it was all I needed.

With a final push I stood up and alas GO GO GO. Yay I reached the end. Bring me down now please :D

That was the red element. 2nd hardest trail. I did not want to continue cuz the next one was the leap of faith. :x but passed that, I could be rewarded with a pretty long flying fox on the other end. Oh wells.

Xinyi did not pass this stage. She attempted again and kind of cheated by using the pulley to get through. But passed that, she emerged victorious of the whole thing.

Lunch Serving Traditional Indonesian Foodfare

Didnt take photo of the food because its so Singapore-ish! Leeched into the free wifi once I am there haha.

And then it was time for the next stop.

Public Hot Spring At Lovina

It was a few hours ride into the other city. So Madan gave us the option of stopping at a waterfall or a hot spring and we chose the latter.

It costs a few thousand rupiah to enter the village and there was also towels on sale for really cheap prices.

And then we made our way to the hotel. The main feature of that hotel is that you get to swim with the dolphins during their dolphin show! But our itinerary was already filled up with other activities :( Oh, it also houses many animals like deers and all.

Since we are going to miss the shows offered by the hotel, I decided to make use of the facilities.

Went for a night swim when the thunder was clapping. Haha.

But I swam alongside to clubbing music. Pretty shiok experience. Swimming alone with little light visibility.

And then it was time for bed as we have to wake up at 6am the next day!

Ta-da!
