Taiwan Trip 19th Sept 12 to 26th Sept 12; Day 5: Mr J Restaurant, Taipei 101, Taipei Underground Malls, Shida Night Market

Taipei Day 5! Sissy has to go back to Kaoshiung :(((((((

So, we woke up in the morning pretty late. We slept pretty late last night as well. Since we are going to a restaurant for lunch, there's no point in waking up early hehe.

Mr J's Restaurant I

We took the metro to Sun Yet Sen Memorial Hall and walked to our destination.

Finally found it!

If I am not wrong, this is his first restaurant. So, the theme was just him and him alone. In all endorsements, movies etc..

The surroundings. We were ushered into the next section behind to have our meal. There is still another section upstairs.

So, our food! There was no minimum spending per person in this restaurant. The money I had bought was running low and I didn't realise Sissy slipped a few blue notes into my wallet! So kind of Sissy :') I really miss her :( She's still in Taiwan now :(

So, our food!

I shared with Sissy. So full!

After lunch, it was time to buy her train tickets :( HSR tickets were sold out! It was a sunday. People were rushing back. So, we went to buy the normal train tickets. Bought the 5pm timing since the earlier slots were selling like hot cakes as well.

miss my sissy loads.

We splitted ways with Car. She went to buy her pineapple tarts from Chia Te and I accompanied Sissy to buy the tickets. After which, we met at the train station again and then went to shop around at Taipei underground malls. Then it was time to bid goodbye. See you in 7 weeks sissy.

Taipei 101

I didn't want to go. But Car pursuaded me. I forgot to bring my Taiwan International Student Key Chain. Fortunately, they accepted my student pass! Hehe. So was able to purchase the tickets on concession. NT$400. Normal tickets cost NT$50 more.

We took the escalator all the way up to the 4th floor I think. Asked a very handsome guy on duty for directions hehe.

After we have got the tickets, we queued to go up to the tower. Every group took a photo, and if interested we were able to purchase it at the end of it. Everyone was busy snapping photos of themselves on the LCD screens as they only flashed by for a few seconds.

The lift up the escalator. They show what speed we were travelling at and which floor we were at.

We were lucky enough to be allowed to the open air observatory. It is only open under good weather conditions. We thought it was drizzling but still they allowed us in. Thank you. View was magnificent right.

Heavily grilled all around to prevent anyone from committing suicide.

After we have seen our share, we went to the toilet, and when we were out, we were escorted by the police force down to other levels. The outdoor observatory was closed already! Haha thank God!

Lots of people were taking photos here as the landscapes keep changing..

Taipei 101 from far away.

Moving on to our next stop!

Shida Night Market (師大夜市)

We took the MRT to Taipower Station. Shida Night Market seems rather empty. It is just next to Shida University. So envious of the students there.

We had waffles and...

魯味! Braised ingredients of your choice!

Didn't order any internal organs and stuff. Car ordered pig's stomach. I really love mushrooms so there was black fungus and enoki mushrooms! Hot dogs and the others <3

We also had milk tea to go along. Lotsa milk in the tea! I like! Really enjoyed that plate of braised food yummy yummy <3

That's all for Day 5!

Signing off!
