Taiwan Trip 2 20th March 13 to 26th March 13; Day 4: some temple, Yangmingshan, Mr J's Restaurant - MrJ 藤原豆腐新生店, Raohe Night Market

Alright decided to continue blooging about my Taiwan trip so that there's a closure to this... Before I begin on my Malaysia trekking and Bali Trip..

So, Day 4, finally back in Taipei, we went to the temple! Haha. It is a rather popular temple, but I have got no idea which MRT station is located. It's on my itinerary though haha.

We had some dumplings and they tasted fantastic!

The Temple

There was also fake sharks' fins soup on sale which we didn't buy.

After which we took bus 18 to the temple.

After we are done with the ritual, we went to shop at the herbal shops nearby. And man did we spend quite a bomb. Lin spent more hoho.

Got the 海燕窩 and some herbal stuff for my mum. We spent so long in the shop the uncle gave us ginseng tea to reduce heatiness haha.

Yangmingshan (陽明山)
After which, we went to Yangmingshan!

I planned Yangmingshan in because Lin loves to admire pretty flowers! It's the season of sakura bloom. But sadly, for some reason, the bloom came early. We were already at the last of the season. We followed a different trail which I have not hiked the last time. Didn't enjoy this trail as much. I guess the more the hours clocked in, the more beautiful the scenery!

The trip that I planned this time in Taipei was really exhausting. Haha. If I don't remember wrongly, we were running behind schedule. Somemore we were lost while trying to find Mr J's Restaurant.

MrJ 藤原豆腐新生店

We dreamt of meeting Jay Chou in person even before coming here.We had a hard time asking people for the directions to the shop and I even tried calling to the shop itself. Dial tone was the song Sailor hahaha.
Alas were we disappointed. Because we were late, the shop was already closed! It will only re-open at around 5. Sighs.

So, we moved on.

Raohe Night Market 饒河街觀光夜市

It is my favourite night market. Crowned it number 1 after the trip in September 2012. Also bought the medicated cream mum and her friends want from there. Haha.

My favourite! Taiwan sells it so cheap. Not like how I was conned in Malaysia :@

Banana Hostel

I like staying in hostel.. Because you get to know new friends! Haha. Also met a group of Singaporean poly students, a pair of South Africans who came from Japan, and two ang mohs which I didn't have much of a chance to interact with. Glad to have know our Taiwanese friends in this trip :) Initially, they thought Singaporeans cannot speak Mandarin and they commented that our Chinese was good. Hehehe. Oh ya Lin is not a Singaporean hahah.

I invited them to join us the next day but they had other plans. Hehe.

That concludes Day 4. Nothing much. I prefer Hualien!
